The visit of Mayor Gabriela Staszkiewicz to the DLP laboratory provided an opportunity to discuss product safety, electromobility, the development of battery technologies, and cooperation for the future of the Cieszyn Silesia region.

On 15 September 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Gabriela Staszkiewicz, Mayor of Cieszyn, and Ewa Pawelczyk to the DLP Sp. z o.o. headquarters in Kaczyce. The visit provided an opportunity to present our company's activities, exchange experiences, and discuss the future of the region, the development of modern technologies, and the challenges facing today's businesses.
During the visit, we presented DLP's unique business model, which combines specialized laboratory testing, homologation and certification support, and compliance services related to regulatory requirements applicable in both domestic and international markets. This comprehensive approach enables us to support businesses at every stage of bringing products to market, from verifying safety and quality to meeting the formal requirements necessary for their legal sale.
Particular attention was devoted to the battery sector, which plays a key role in the energy transition and the development of modern transportation. DLP is among the few organizations in Poland that combine laboratory expertise with practical regulatory support, helping clients smoothly transition from product design to safe and compliant market introduction. In our laboratory, we test both small battery cells and large traction batteries used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems. We also support manufacturers throughout homologation processes and help adapt products to continuously evolving legal and technical requirements.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics. In discussions with the Mayor, we addressed issues related to the development of public transportation, vocational and technical education, as well as the challenges of attracting and retaining skilled professionals. Of particular importance were opportunities to strengthen cooperation between companies operating in the Cieszyn Silesia region and initiatives that support local economic development.
We firmly believe that the Cieszyn Silesia region holds tremendous growth potential. Investing in education, modern technologies, and future-oriented skills is one of the most important factors in building the region's competitiveness. In an era of rapid growth in electromobility, energy storage, and green technologies, creating a strong local ecosystem of expertise is becoming increasingly important for supporting businesses operating in advanced industries. We believe that the development of the green energy sector and the electrification of transport represent not only an opportunity for companies, but also a catalyst for the continued development of the entire region.
During the visit, we also discussed the broad scope of DLP's activities. While we specialize in batteries and energy storage systems, we support manufacturers and importers across many other industries as well. Modern European Union regulations place increasing emphasis on consumer safety, reducing carbon footprints, and lowering CO₂ emissions. In response to these challenges, we help businesses verify their products' compliance with applicable technical and legal requirements.
Our work has a direct impact on the safety of products used in everyday life. Through laboratory testing, we can assess whether a product meets relevant safety requirements, whether it poses fire or explosion risks, and whether it contains substances that could be harmful to users' health. This is an essential part of the product market entry process, particularly in light of increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.
